Do you Tweet? If so, do you want lots of followers?

My name is Michael Ray and I’m a pretty-good professional commercial photographer, a very poor writer, and a relatively novice tweeter.

I have a couple of web sites where I’ve posted how-to articles about different aspects of professional commercial photography and I make a few bucks by posting ads on these sites.

The more people visit my site, the more money I make, so you can see how increased traffic translates into increased income.  I thought increasing traffic by tweeting would be a perfect match, but after a few weeks, I discovered that getting people to follow me was a very time-consuming process.  I thought twitter was a great way to get the word out about me sites, if only I could automate the process of finding people to follow me.  I started looking around and came across Tweetadder.

So, I’m here to spread the word and possibly make some money in the process by convincing you that Tweetadder is worth the price.  It certainly is for me. Just to be totally honest here, I’ve signed up for the Tweetadder affiliate program, so if you go through my link here and buy the program, I’ll make a little money.  So if you’re going to buy it, I’d really appreciate it if you’d buy through me.

First off, I need to tell you that it actually doesn’t work near as well as it says it will, but even with its faults, I feel it’s worth two or three times the asking price.   Here’s what it’s supposed to do:

It will do searches for the following criteria…

Keyword in tweets.  I search for people saying “photography”.  You can limit the searches by geographic areas too.  So if your business in dependent on a specific location, then you only look for people in your area.  For example, One of my sites is the Pittsburgh Wedding Photography Directory.  I do searches for wedding photographers or anyone else in Pittsburgh having to do with weddings.

Keywords in profiles.  Again, I look for photographers, bridal shops, and anything else I can think of having to do with weddings, in or around Pittsburgh.

You can search and find friends or followers of any other tweeter, a competitor, maybe… :o)

There are a few other searches you can do, but these are the ones I use most often. After you do the search, which takes about five seconds each, you simply hit a button and the names and twitter addresses are added to a database.  This database is then used as a source of people to follow.  Why follow other people?  Because a percentage of them will follow you back, and that’s what you’re really after.  The following is all done automatically, and you just hit a button and the process will begin.  Come back in an hour, and you’ll be following 2000 people.  And if you wait a day or two, you’ll find that maybe 10 – 15% of them followed your back.  So that means, you’ve found 200-300 new followers to listen to your tweets…  See how this works…?

What you probably don’t know at this point is that Twitter will only allow you to follow a maximum of 2000 followers at the beginning.  It will automatically shut you off at about 2000 followers until you get about 1800 people following you…  The key is to “unfollow” people after a couple of days and then follow a bunch of new people, hoping that a percentage will again follow you.   Eventually, Twitter will allow you to follow 110% more people that follow you.  That’s how it all works.  Follow new people and “unfollow” old people.  The beauty is that this is all done automatically.  Tweetaddder has a feature that allows you to set up a schedule and all this will happen like clock work.  It’s really very cool.

I mentioned that the program isn’t working as well as it should, but I think that’s because I bought multiple licenses and the program has a hard time dealing with that.  They still need to work the bugs out, but like I said, even with the problems, It’s worth several times the asking price, IMHO.  And that’s why I’m telling you about it now.

I didn’t mention another of the program’s features.  It will “drop” pre-defined tweets at given intervals of time.  I have put together about a hundred tweets on one of my sites, and I have the program tweet for me once every four hours.  It will either go through all the tweets and then stop, or it will just repeat them when it completes its list.  It will also tweet them randomly, if you’d like.  I have a trouble with this feature too.  For some reason, it just goes crazy and over-tweets.  I don’t know why, it just does.

Like I said, the program isn’t perfect and I’m sure that they’re working out the bugs, but even as it is today, I’m telling you, it’s great!  With my four or five sites, I made back the price of the program in about a week.  No kidding…  On my biggest site, (this one) I’ve increased my income about 25% in the first month.  I’m currently at about 3200 followers and every day, that number increases…  If you have any questions about how the program works, give me a call and ask your questions (412-232-4444). I’m no expert on how the thing works, and I know that I’m not using it to its potential, but still, it’s making me some really good money… :o)

So if you think that increasing the number of twitter followers would be worth something to you, you might want to give Tweetadder a try.  Learn more by clicking on the Banner ad below. They have a free demo. What do you got to loose? :o)
